How to Find Cheap Jewelry That Looks Expensive

There is no secret that most women love to accessorize, but something that some still are clueless about is that we don’t always what to spend crazy amounts of money to do so.

I love cheap jewellery, and I am proud of it. There is nothing more satisfying than getting exciting pieces at affordable prices and wear them with confidence as if they costed me the equivalent of a brand-new car (well, maybe I’m exaggerating, but you get the point). Today I want to talk about how to find cheap jewelry that looks expensive and convince you that an affordable price doesn’t necessarily mean cheap looking.

1.    Less is more
Elegance and style will never be characterized by ‘in your face’ items. My jewels buying guide has these rules:
  • Look for bracelets, rings or earrings which have a simple design. For example, a thick metallic bracelet, instead of an over the top accessorized one. Choose simple earrings that go with any outfit instead on chandelier looking ones.
  • Silver or gold pieces are always going to last you longer and have classic designs.

2.    Say ‘no-no’ to shiny metals
I don’t care if they look ‘luxurious’ or if they are cheap. There is not a single guide on how to find cheap jewelry that looks expensive which advises you to buy bulky jewellery that is too light or too shiny. These are the pieces that look inexpensive. We are classy ladies here, so keep your eyes open.

3.    Good-bye statement jewellery
The days of statement jewellery are over. Of course, they used to look interesting paired with a minimalist outfit, but still, they looked cheap. You can buy fashion items like a layered necklace with a single precious stoneor semi-precious one (choose the one which is related to your zodiacal sign) and you will be good to go. On the other hand, if you don’t like to wear a necklace, you can always choose a brooch made of sterling silver, this can become a statement for all your outfits.

4.    Don’t judge a book by its cover
It is perfectly reasonable to have doubts about some stores, but don’t avoid them all and end up in those crazy expensive ones. Where is the deal in that? You can find inexpensive accessories which look expensive practically anywhere. Take your time to do your research, read reviews, ask friends, and I am sure you will be surprised with your findings.

5.    What do you want vs. what do you need
Last but not least I want you to think about what you want from your accessories. Do you go out to clubs and parties every night? Do you attend special events every week? Just go for safe items, items that can work perfectly with the majority of your outfits and you will never have to stress about this issue ever again.
Remember, you are the one wearing the jewellery, not the other way around. Now I have the confidence you know how to find cheap jewelry that looks expensive and that you will always be classy without big investments.
